Out There

Background

Our community centres and school visits help us identify and assist South Africa's young people with the challenges they face.

Although young people spend a lot of their time on the internet, we understand that they occupy physical spaces with challenges that are material to them.

No one can help solve a problem they don't understand. That is why we have prioritised visiting communities and schools to identify and assist with young people's struggles in South Africa.

Through being insistent with our community and school visits, we have been able to identify some of the most significant challenges young people face.
These include education, employment, computer literacy, family stability and mental health. We have found that these challenges are not unique to any specific school, province or area within South Africa. Identifying these challenges allows us to assist young people through creative and effective solutions.

Some of our solutions include:
• Providing bilingual dictionaries to learners in grades 4 - 12 who struggle to comprehend the complex concepts explained in English in subjects like Maths, Science and Technology.
• Funding tutors to help them improve their academic performance and score better marks on their tests and exams.
• Equipping some schools with a computer centre and counselling services to ensure that the young people are educated on issues such as anxiety and depression and how to deal with it.

We hope that these efforts will help reduce the dropout rate in South African schools and help mould educated young people who are mentally and emotionally mature. We look forward to adding value to the South African education system and the lives of young people who are hoping to see their dreams and ambitions materialize.

We're Out There for their well-being.
